How can I tame a very aggressive rooster?

My sultan rooster shanty is a his worst at the moment and won't stop going for me. I gave read online that you should pick him up, but when I do he just twists his neck round and pecks me. Any ideas how to tame him?

Scoop him up in a short handled fishing net so that he can't reach you. Carry him around like that. When you dump him out, pursue him with the net. Even if he gets so that he leaves you alone when you have the net - don't trust him. Understand that if you use him for breeding, his sons may very well be as bad as him. I'd eat the bugger.
