How odd!
Furries never pop up at conventions here. Iv'e only seen one out and about ever but iv'e seen him multiple times.Dont know him as a person, iv'e said hello a few times.
Can't say im not curious about what's going on there.
He's nearly a 7ft tall, well fed unicorn out in the daylight so he's well worth a ponder or two. :)
Furies are from Greek Mythology. lol Furries are individuals who have "fursonas" and often dress up in suits. ;) The term furry is not limited to only individuals who have mammal fursonas, but also those with scaled and feathered fursonas as well.

I for one am not, but I know people who are, and often see them at anime conventions. I certainly appreciate their dedication when it's a hundred degrees outside and they are still in their fur suits.

On a completely unrelated note, this was a fantastic thread for a laugh in the morning. It started off with kind of an abject horror, but rapidly became amusing.

Is this really a thing like for real real?

We don't have a huge furry turn out at the conventions I help run, but there are usually a dozen or so. The larger conventions like AKON usually have a few more, but there are conventions just for furries that get a lot of attendance. I know there are a few here on campus where I work. I think one student is a dragon? He was a student in one of my ex's classes that he taught. I'm in some Facebook groups where there is a large furry community as well.

And I'd have to ponder on a unicorn nearly seven feet tall too! I haven't seen a unicorn in person. Now I'm curious if it would be a full suit or more like a unicorn "copslay".
