My Guinea Keets are 10 weeks old. They have a big bowl that I keep full of Purina Flock raiser and each night I give them some meal worms. Well.... I keep it as full as I can since they scratch a lot of it out which then gets under their straw and then tossed when I clean their pen.

I'm working on a better solution for that.

They are active, getting friendly towards us, perch on the branches I gave them, drink eat, etcetera... But they feel skinny to me. However the only thing I have to compare them to are ducks, which is obviously a big difference. I think that their keel bones are way to easy to feel, but again I am comparing them to my ducks.

How do I know if they are at a good weight?

I hang my feeders right a beak/head level and that stopped most of the waste. And it'll save you money and you can actually see what they're eating. Basically, don't worry about the weight. If you just get a good feeder and keep it filled all the time, they'll weigh just what they should. Youngsters do tend to feel lighter....

Sounds like you're doing a fine job of raising them.
