Hey everyone.

smell out of it. Any ideas please?

I use water and bleach to scrub my incubator after each hatch. Be sure to rinse thoroughly and if possible set out in the sun to air dry.

I wash first with dawn dish soap and warm water. I scrub any areas where there is build up. Then I use vinegar and water and soak it for a while. Then put it out in the sun to dry for at least one day more if you can. Hope this helps.

Sounds weird...but vodka is a great stink killer. Seriously... It's not just my excuse to keep it around the house (really! I swear). It works great in laundry too.. Especially of you have clothes that are smelling moldy. Pour in the old vodka..

When I used to hatch in the styrofoam incubators I would place the whole base inside a white kitchen trash bag. Then I would put paper towels down, then I would put the screen back in and the turner on top of that. After hatching clean up is a lot easier.

I run very hot water in the bathtub and add bleach. I put the screen on the floor of the tub and the base of the incubator on top of that and pour as much bleach water in it as it will hold. I use an old toothbrush to get the boogers off the screen. I usually let it soak for hours. I then spray it with an enzymatic cleanser designed to consume the stink causing bacteria.

What's wrong with my brain that I never thought of that? Brilliant!

Thank you, thank you. I got tired of the bleach in the bathtub thing. Dishwasher does a good job too but don't tell my sister in law I have done that.
