How can you tell if your silkie is a roo or hen?

The one I have is about 6wks and is getting red colored bumps above the beak. Does that mean it is a roo?

Silkies are very...hard to sex sometime you wont be able to sex them till they are 6 months or older u can always post a pic and people can guess what you have but it would only be a guess as they are to hard to sex at this age!

thanks, I'll have to have my husband take a picture for me . I do not even know what color it is. The chick is grayish with darker gray spots
