Hi, when I got these chicks we were told they were all females. Two welsummers, the other welsummer doesn't have her crest as defined or large at all as this one. and they are both the same age. I have a suspicion this is a rooster... can you give me your thoughts on the gender of my chick please!

I am not sure if my chicken is a roo. I think he is because he kind of looks different than my other chickens, but he isnt crowing but he is 6 months old so im not really sure what he is... i just recently added three new chickens to my flock: two that are 6 months and one that is a year old.
these are my two 6 month olds. I always find them close two each other. Can someone help me tell if the black one is a rooster?

I'll start by saying I have no experience. My two wyandottes are my first chicks ever. But i can say that chicken has bigger wattles than my 12-13 week olds.

Yes, this is a rooster and it doesn't look at all like a Welsummer, either. (Just FYI, he doesn't have a crest. A crest is a bunch of feathers on the head. He has a large comb.)

Yes I agree that that chicken does not look like a welsummer at all.
