How can you tell...

Jumbo from Pharaoh? I have two "wild-colored" chicks (they're almost 3 weeks old now) that are the same size as my others, so how do you discern if they're Jumbos? This quail color/genetics stuff has me more than a little confused!

jumbo's are bigger than pharaoh's. I can tell with the chicks but usually there isn't much of a diff.

I'm pretty sure the two I have are Jumbo. My mom was here today and commented how those two "look like quail" but the others don't. I really hadn't noticed the size difference until she said something, but they are noticeably larger. DH got their outside pen done today (thank goodness!) and all 8 are now happily living outside
