I'm learning german from my dogs

Not to go off topic but I have to ask.... Rottweilers? Schutzhund training? (dreaming of getting another Rottie puppy soon....)

My guys have 2 small sleeping boxes with 2 birds in each box--about 10 and 30 cubic ft. When the night temps are below freezing I add a couple of tightly lidded gallon jugs of very hot water. As long as the outdoor temps are above the mid teens, the water doesn't freeze. When it drops below that, I haul everybody into my enclosed back porch. Would they die if I did none of that? Certainly not. I've kept Bantams for many years with just a good draft free sleeping box. I do feel better knowing they're comfortable. I read somewhere that 70 degrees is the most stress free temperature for chickens.

I'm sorry, rough morning. They are two GSDs, one 10 months old; the other is 9 weeks old.
