We have had a couple nights below freezing, 27-29 or so. My adults were fine, the snowies at 5-6 weeks were generally fine, but I had to bring one of the blind ones inside. I suspect her issue was not the cold, just couldn’t find the feed regularly. It’s is so wet here right now, and when the rain lets up I put down new chips, and refill the hide boxes. So far so good. Some of the “popular” girls are missing a lot of feathers on their heads and necks, but they’re fine as well. The tarp overhead keeps water from falling on them, but it’s so wet, the chips absorb water from the ground. The birds also dig into the cold wet ground/mud and wallow in it which also doesn’t help keep the chips dry. Over all, so far my birds are unphased by the cold.
