How cold is too cold for 3 month old chickens

I have five chickens and it says it’s going to be in the lowes 28 tonight there in a shed lots of bedding should they need heat?

No they don’t, it’s been hitting 20 here and mine about that age have been fine.

At 3 months old they are fully feathered. That temperature is very pleasant to a chicken. Heck, my week old chicks did fine with those kind of temperatures. When they got cold they'd run under mom and warm up for a minute or two. Then they'd be running around again being chicks.

Mine are roughly 8 weeks and have been without heat for a few weeks now. Yours will be fine.

As long as they are dry, out of the wind, and have good ventilation they will be fine.
