How cold is too cold for an adult Buff Orpington alone in a draft free area?

How cold is too cold for an adult Buff Orpington with a buddy on either side of it?

My buff orps are just fine and they've been down in negative temps with no heater. Make your coop draft free and you should be ok as long as they have some company and feed and water.

We've been hitting negative temps here all winter... so far, today was the coldest at -14. My Orps are fine. The roos are getting frostbite or they're over pecking each other. I can't tell, because they're crazy towards each other. My POL hens actually started laying in this cold snap, so they're fine I'm sure.

I've been turning our chickens heat lamp the last few nights. A few weeks ago the temp went down to neg 8 F, which was unexpected. That night our buff orpington rooster got a touch of frostbite on 3 of the spikes on his comb. The hens were all fine. Their coop has no drafts and is insulated.
