It's good to re-confirm my hens won't freeze. this being our first winter I have my fears...I started with 5 hens, wanted a silkie so I got 2 for company, one of the original 5 killed one of the beautiful silkies...so I found 2 other bantams to keep Gertie (the silkie) warm and with friends, oh did I mention that after the first one was lost we added the "condo" the the coop/cage so they can all be together but safely seperated. Really-who would have thought I would really care so much about these funny little birds. Chicken ramblings...
