It is isn't it, all frozen and easy to scoop up I just went to look at mine and my young gander had frozen feathers on his neck from sticking his head in the water bucket crazy goof.

That's funny I have to put a board across half of their bucket with a heavy rock to keep my gander from getting in, once I found him standing in it.Speaking of water bucket, I had to zip tie the handle of the bucket to the pen because they were actually trying to get into their bucket to swim!!!! It's a good size bucket, but seriously? They miss their pool!
Maybe this explains it, so far haven't seen that in any of my eggs but have read of others seeing it.Moose never laid an egg, I just thought it was his. Lucy is still laying every other day. One thing that is bothering me is that sometimes there is a drop of blood inside the egg and one other time there was a ton of blood, it grossed me out and I threw it away. I will still eat them if it's just a drop, that doesn't bother me, but the one egg I threw away made me lose my appetite!
Doesn't it contain vit K too which with people who take blood thinner should limit their lettuce eating. Try cutting back on the lettuce for a while and see if it makes any difference. Do they like chopped kale of course it maybe full of k too. I usually give mine greens 2X a week during winter and they don't get alot because there are 32 going after it.No, I don't see any of these things being an issue. I do feed them a lot of lettuces that are high in vitamin A, I wonder if I should cut back on the lettuce?
You don't have a barn for your geese serv? they just sleep out in the open? I wouldn't even have any animals left if I did that here.Mine sleep outside in -8 and they don't mind it! The only ones that would hate it would be the Africans and the Chinese
