How cold is too cold?

I have 7 jumbo brown cotournix in an old rabbit hutch. The back portion is boxed in and I put plenty of fresh hay in it today. Supposed to get down to 19 tonight and not get above 30 tomorrow and then get down to 12 tomorrow night. Will my quail be ok or should I bring them in the basement?

they should be fine, i'd throw a tarp over the whole enclosure, as long as they got some nice hay in there to nestle up into they should be fine

I agree, a cover should be fine. And plenty of hay so they are not on the cold wire.

I cover mine with a heavy somewhat clear plastic, so they can get some sun to warm them up.
