I have a seven week old chick and a five week old chick that I put outside for their first night. Usually I bring them in every night but today I decided they should start learning to sleep outside. The problem is they are not going in the coop :( they wait outside in a pot that has my basil plant in it

the temperature is in the low 50s at night, so do you think I should bring them in or will they be fine.?

If they do not know how to go back into the coop, you will still have to watch them, but I think if you put them in the coop they would be fine at that age to sleep outside. Some wait eight weeks, but I have never waited that long. They sound like they have been giving a chance to get used to the outside.

New and only chickens?
No other chicken in the coop?

If yes, put them in the coop and leave the door closed for a couple days to get them to 'home' to the coop.
Then let them out in to the run, you still might have to put them inside at night until they get the idea themselves.
