Hens don't crush or suffocate the chicks when they sit on them?

Hi,

God designed chickens with a marvelous system. The chicken mothers know exactly what to do, the chicks will sit in between her leg area where she won't crush them or they will sit under her wings or in front of her crop area.

Unfortunately, some do crush them. I experienced it this year with my English Orp. Most hens are good with their babies though. If a chick starts cheeping, the hen will lift herself up so they can get in a better area. They will take refuge under her wings too.
