Okay, so I promised myself AND my boyfriend that I wasn't going to get anymore chickens.
10 full grown chickens. And 11 chicks which are about 9 weeks old.
The person who my boyfriends mother is best friends with (and we babysit for her all the time) was the one we shared a McMurray order with in Feb.
Last night she calls up and asks Erik (the boyfriend) if we wanted 10 free Easter Eggers from McMurrays. She said Araucanas of course because that's what it's listed as, but everyone knows they aren't that.
I couldn't pass up the offer. She only wants 15, and needed to fill the rest of the order. So I asked her for only 8 Easter Eggers and 2 Leghorns.
I was so happy. It was very sweet of her. Don't you wish people could just surprise you like this?
