Ok, we finally got a sturdier fence built (mainly so my dogs stop running into/plowing over the cheap way we had it before! Now the problem is how in the heck do I put netting overtop to deter hawks and keep the chickens from wanting to perch on fencing! Since having chickens, I noticed a hawk hanging around (may have always been here and I only now had reason for concern!) They do have under the deck, behind the lattice to hide if necessary but I would feel better putting up a netting to also keep them in but I can't figure out how. I need something that looks good and holds up to snow, ice, and wind. I was thinking of attaching netting to the deck, down to the fence but can't picture it in my head, how to do the awkard side off to the right of the coop that is about 7 ft or if it will "blend" and not be an eyesore! Also, I have read about netting coming down from heavy snow, which is very common here! Any input/insight would be greatly appreciated!
