That is a lavendar silkie, hatchery stock and the chicks are about six weeks old, mile' fleur mixed with silkie. The silkie stole them from their Mom!

They are so cute. At what age did she take them?

I didn't know silkies roost. I had a roost in my brooder for my three banties - 2 silkies and 1 cochin and the silkies didn't use it.

The cochin would be on the roost and the two silkies would lay next to the cochin.

When I put them in their dog house turned banty coop/tractor I didn't put in a roost. They all huddle together in the coop at night.

Should I put in a roost?
