How deep and tall should nesting boxes be for standard and giant hens? I am thinking about having my uncle build me some and would like to know approximate dimensions for him.

mine are 14inches tall by 11 inches wide. It is a little bit bigger than needed but it works just fine.

14" wide by 14" high by 12" deep is the "general" size for heavy breed nesting boxes, according to Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens.
