There may be a Barred Rock Pullet floating around in the buff flock where you got the eggs from! Looks like a little blk. sexlink roo!

I just had three black from my "so called" pure buffs from Meyer hatchery. These eggs are from hens I have on the property and incubated. All are buffs, but are producing black chicks. I will never order from Meyer again...after getting the chicks via mail, 4 have died with in a year...the rest or thriving. Their cs is awful. I ordered buffs as I heard they are great brooders...have had my hens for 2 years, they DO NOT BROOD.

yes and all from meyer. I spoke to them today, they deny everything that they made a mistake. They deny that the hens didn't lay until after a year, and they don't brood, is why I chose that breed.

There is a dot on the top of the head, but it's blueish gray...

I set the Buff Orpington eggs along with delaware and RIR eggs, all the eggs were marked...all the BO came from one person and the Dela and RIR came from another
