Okay I already have around 80 or so chickens full grown. And then I let 3 broody hens hatch out chicks ...? They hatched 12 or 15 out then I bought 8 more and I lost one

You can laugh all you want about chicken math - but it may as well be Rocket Science where my husband is concerned - he can't seem to tell the difference between 10 babies and 40

- it all looks like "a million" to him - keeping him confused is part of the plan. Chicken math is effective when used correctly.

How you got that many is you bought 1

Honestly you don't have very many so you need to work on that math just a bit more

we have about 150 chicks already(sold a few hundred as well) 5 turners full and extras in the bator and a broody with 18 of her own trust me no one wants to count all of those chicks too often..chicken math made easy.My husband gave up and brought me home another bator and just builds and builds new chicken houses.

He He, I have 70 grown birds & have hatched 153 chicks so far this year, & have 47 eggs in the bator & more ready to add. I have hatched Seramas, Red shouldered Yokahamas, EE's, & Silver Pheasants so far, & my turkeys will hatch in about a week. They are soooooo addicting!!

Ok...so chicken math explains it all!
Last year we went from 0 chickens to 6 to 8..then from 8 to 14 to 18 (so far) this year. Now a friend of ours has a broody Cochin (I think... its a feather footed breed) who told us we could have some of those chicks when they hatch. I can see where this is going! Already planning the run expansion--looks like we'll need another coop by next spring.
