How did the chicks get this pattern?

    So the Dad has a blue silkie sire and dam a Mille Fleur Duccle. Mom’s are either white silkie or splash silkie.

    Here is the sire.

    So did these patterns come from the Dad and what is it called?

    The Dad’s sire is this hatchery silkie below. Every cross with either the white or black silkie hen above with my blue silkie below has been either blue or black.
