How did the chicks get this pattern?

So the Dad has a blue silkie sire and dam a Mille Fleur Duccle. Mom’s are either white silkie or splash silkie.

Here is the sire.

So did these patterns come from the Dad and what is it called?

Since dad is a mix it's hard to say what recessive color genes he may be carrying. If mom was white, white genes cover up a lot of other color genes so she could have just about any recessive color genes hiding in her as well.
