How did you come up with your screen name?

Well......since my last name is Cooke, NOBODY seems to be able to pronounce it Cook:rolleyes:. I have been called cookie since I was little, and I like it. So, since I have chickens now I just hyphenated my last name and the ChickenFlavoredCook-E was born.

From the time I was 16 to 25, I had a wonderful mare named Blaundee. She was my whole world, my best friend, and I loved her more than anything in the whole world, though I didn't truly realize just how much I depended on her until she was gone.

She died Jan 6, 2007, and it was the hardest decision I had ever had to make to put my dear, sweet, beloved Blaundee down- I still miss her and still cry for her.

My screen name on other boards and email was Blaundee for many years, so I carried it on over to here. When I see "my" name, I think of her, and remember the great times we had together.

Perhaps I am not as original as some, but I had to think quick because I needed some help with my incubation and figured BYC'ers could help me.... My children are grown up and out of the nest....OOPS...I mean house.. My husband agreed to a few chickens "just to try things out" and before I knew it...we were building a 2nd coop. They were supposed to be part of our new venture into self sustainability but have brought so much more than that into our lives. It is difficult to explain to most of our friends and family.....but really....I am an Empty Nester NO more...and lovin it...!!!

My screen name breaks down as follows:

obx= where we live (Outer Banks of NC)

Wa= Wayne (hubby)

Mi= Michelle (me)

besides using it for screen names on every site we are on, it's on our license plates, too.

Well my kids' saw a movie recently and one of the lines in it was "Who's your daddy" well....I made a play off of that with our state nickname.....Hoosier....momma.
