I'm sure this has been discussed already in this forum, but I can't find it! Can anyone tell me where I can read some information on different breeds and their flavors? I'm also looking for information on how different feed produced different tastes.

Or maybe you can just tell me how you got your bird (state breed, feeding method please) to be the best chicken you've ever had!

Do you know how to use the forum search feature? You click the "search" button above, and fill in the blanks. Near the end of the short form, there's a choice between showing results as topics, or as posts. I prefer to show as posts, because otherwise you can get long threads with one post that addresses your search, buried in many pages.

If you do a forum search for "cooking heritage chickens", "cooking older birds" or some such, you'll find a ton of info.

Good luck, they really aren't hard to cook at all, you just have to know the methods.
