How Did You Pronounce Chicken Breeds Before BYC?

I usually do as well, but I here some people say “peeh-kin” or “peking” and so on

lol this is a fun idea! When I first got chickens I pronounced a lot of chicken breeds wrong!
Cochin I pronounced cot-chin
Polish I pronounced Polish like nail polish
I never had a chance on ameraucana
White leghorn I pronounced leg-horn

I still have yet to really find out how to pronounce some of them if we are being honest, so please enlighten me! I want to know how to say them correctly. I know it irks me when people mispronounce a dog breed or cat breed, so this I'd like to know more about

• I know how to say "Dominique" - but the other term for them "Dominicker" I've heard pronounced in many different ways....
• Araucana - I've heard that one said a few ways
