I suppose it's no different than being covered in chicken poo particles from dawn till dusk (because you know that "dust" is wafting into straight into your pores.) Birds are gross, and I've made my peace with that!

They are gross, no doubt. I just love when my feather-footed cuties walk through cecal poop and then jump on my shoulder. I do more laundry since getting chicks.

Same! Ended up making a chicken wardrobe to change into for visits. I know some people will roll out of bed in their pajamas, head out to tend the chickens, then roll back into bed. I respect that, but I just can't do it. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, to say the least.

To each their own for sure, but yeah, I couldn't do that either. I don't even love that my cat likes to snuggle up between my bedspread and top sheet to nap. Like dude, you're messing up that freshly made bed, and I sleep there...

They didn't lay a single egg this morning....but hopefully will make up for it at lockup.

Last night, some of them slept on the poop shelf ignoring the poop on it. Today, I cleaned dry poo from three butts. Luckily, they were pretty good about it despite the pulling.
