how do chicken genetics work ???

Personally I think a similarity to pink is possible. If someone can make a Champagne Brahma who has a pretty peachy color, I think the addition of Mahogany may help. (of course, on a solid Buff, not a Columbian)

Purple is pushing it.

You got me.

I've no method I can think of. But I'd love to hear your ideas.

How about Purple? How would you go about? I have ideas but I want to see your way

I'd like to know your ideas. Other than koolaid, I have no idea how to get a purple chicken.

Purple-no way

Peach-maybe

wheaten, dark brown, columbian, gold, lavender, autosomal red, mahogany - this may make peach in a silkie

Good question! You brought all the "educators" together, lol. I do love to listen to them. My suggestion is that you get some books on the subject. I have learned a lot reading here but I think I need to get some books and really study it.

Well sure, but to MIX the red and blue, . . .

I think it could only work on a Silkie, and only if you mixed it real well, like a Double-Laced.
