sorry just realized i have a wire mesh thing and a channel that looks like this

Do i have to open the bator every time i want to add humidity? and which channels do i fill?
thanks

The instructions should tell you which channels to fill,I believe for the first part of incubation, you only fill the large trough in the center. You will need to open the incubator to add water. Add warm/hot water (about the same temperature as the incubator temperature) so it does not affect your temperature inside the incubator.

At "lockdown, you would fill all of the troughs. Humidity is highly variable due to your home's specific climate, but for the first hatch, you should try to follow the directions and make adjustments for future hatches as needed.

Is this the 1602N
I don't have that model but have the genesis 1599 I believe. I have a baster that I put into a clear tube that I bought at the hardware store. I put it through air hole where the yellow plug is. I put it down one the wire and pour the water into the baster little at a time until I think I have enough to bring it back up. I wait and see then put more in if needed. That can be done with the turner in and when it is out. Just take a little moving around to get it down to the wire.
