I am trying to figure out how to attach some nice branches to my run for the chickens to roost on. i cant figure out how to secure them to the run walls. i’d like to attach two branches across the width of my run which is only about 5 feet in width. any ideas or pictures would be helpful.

This doesn't solve your branch dilemma but a couple of sawhorses with a 2x4 in between or simply just a couple blocks of 4x4 with a 2x4 nailed between them works.

What are your run 'walls' ? I secure branches across corners with zip ties....

Note that chickens prefer a flat surface to roost on, like 1x2s.
Nah, they like branches just fine as long as they are big enough.
1x2 lumber sitting flat might be bouncy/weak if across too large a span,
on edge might be too small to perch on for full grown birds.

Knowing what your run looks like or what materials are used would help.
Yes, please provide some pics.

I just shove stuff thru the mesh across corners, you don't want to block the whole width of run from your access.

I use driftwood cause I like the look of it. I stretch it from one right angled side to the opposite one like many above. I have wooden uprights covered all the way up with 1/2" hardware cloth so there's no question of pushing it through the mesh to support it. I just get long pieces and screw them into the uprights. The irregular contours of driftwood make that possible.
