i got a silkie hen at an auctoin yesterday , and today i noticed her notrils are plugged w yellow stuff !shes active eating well and drinking , the stuff is dried not runny , droppings r norm, not coughing and hre weight is pefect how do i clean her nosrils, or is this the start of infection

Yellow stuff is never good. I would start with a dry toothbrush. If it doesnt come off you may have to use a piece of a damp cloth with some warm water just to break it up(not alot of water). If you have vet rx you can use that too.

Don't know if it will work or not since it is dried. When I use to breed parrots if they got the food in their nares we'd use one of those baby nose bulbs for sucking buggers out of baby noses...lol it worked

if the substance is too dry and not coming out with the nose bulb then soak a Q-tip in hydrogen peroxide and gently swirl on the mass... this often works wonders for softening up the mass so that you are able to remove the "plug" with a pair of fine plastic tweezers and then afterwards you can use the nose bulb.
I would mist the area two or three times a day with OXINE > here is an article on that:

You can also nebulize with Tylan .
I would also give three drops of Polyvisol enfaml (no extra iron) in beak once a day for a week then taper off the next (this is a liquid childrens A-B-D vitamin) > vit A deficiency can also cause this.
