How do I get a Runner duck to not brood in the woods?

My runner duck does this EVERY YEAR.5 years (I think she started this habbit at 3 years,not sure.She broods in the woods,but she never stays there,she sits there for so long.But,I think she is determined.She tries biting,hisses,and slaps you with herw ing.

Keep her penned up until she lays each day. Then allow her to free range.
