How do i get ducklings to like me?

Approach them on their level rather than from above. Once past their 'teen aged' stage they generally settle down.

Welcome to BYC
Ducklings are scared of everything
I just hatched 11 little ones. The first two were following me all over
I would walk past the brooder and they would follow then I added the rest of the little ones and that all changed lol
I can talk to them and they get excited but the second I try to pick any up they try to get away and I talked to them for 28 day’s in their egg
I’m not keeping any of these so I’m trying not to give them to much attention
But my last batch I was keeping I just kept trying I would spend a ton of time with them
My ducks are not afraid of me I can mow the lawn and have to wait for them to move out of the way
Just takes time to build the trust with them
Keep trying
Treats are a good way to get them to eat from your hand but please provide chick grit when giving anything other then feed
I can’t get chick grit where I am so I wait till they are 2 weeks old when I can use the next grit they can handle
