How do I get my male coturnix quail to stop crowing in the morning!?

As far as I know there is no practical way to curtail crowing, you might get experimental with a shock collar... but that will probably make your rooster start laying....
too funny, would try if they made teeny little ones fer sure

And, also, is it OK for quails to eat a bit of hardened, dry, 2-year-old frosting from an old gingerbread house? One of my quails got out of its cage, and it snuck out and started eating the frosting...

I think he was eating for about 5 seconds before I caught him. But, still, is it OK for them to eat a bit of frosting?

Well, a good keeper would've fixed him a pot of coffee to go with...

Of course they are, that was established on the first page. When you are keeping a lot of quail the extra males get loud. This thread is discussing ways to make them be quieter or at least not drive your neighbors up the wall.

Yeah, I know. The only problem is that I have 2 roos and no females. But it works out fine now, cause I put the quails in my garage every night.
