How do I get poop out of feathers?

One of my little girls made the mistake of sitting under a perch where her sister was sitting and she got pooped on. Unfortunately, it was a messy poop and it got all over her back. We tried to wash it off with Dawn and warm water but she is still stained. How do I get her clean? She is a Brahma Light so the staining is not at all attractive on her pretty white feathers.

You may have to wait till she molts out the stained feathers. Meanwhile you need to rearrange the roosts so one cannot drop poo on the lower one. Or have poo boards under each roost.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully she'll molt soon! She was actually laying down in the fresh hay under her sister, who was on the roost. Just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
