HOW do I get them outside?

I use a dog leash to herd mine. Just let one end dangle and they will look at it like they want to attack but move it towards them and go running for the coop. Guess they think it's a snake. They usually won't scatter when you try to get them somewhere, they stick together.

I've been using a small laundry basket. I leave it propped on a brick when we go out so that they have somewhere safe to run to if they get spooked.
