How do I get this under control?

Good news, the Duramycin 10 you bought works for the respiratory problems except a virus. (NO antibiotic works on a virus) Looks like you are going to do both meds at once just to make sure. Listen for a raspy sound in their lungs. Also, you do not need the Duramycin 10 if you just recently got a dusty or smokey coop as both will cause sneezing and coughing. Your last hen did not have sneezing and coughing, correct?

If you do a search for Duramycin 10 on byc you will see many threads where people helped their girls with sneezing and coughing problems with it.

Belle did not have sneezing or coughing, but Annie did this morning, Annie does not seem to be having issues with her eyes though...... We have had lots of rain and yesterday and today have been unseasonably cool. We just did the poultry dust about 2 days ago. I am thinking maybe her sneezing/coughing is just from the dust irritating her? Just got back from Tractor Supply with the Corid.........

Yes, dust of any sort (including bedding and sometimes feed) will cause it providing that it got up her nostrils. Keep an eye out for any leakage in the eyes or nostrils, if not than it was the dust. I assume you just cleaned your coop really good, could have kicked up dust that way as well.

Just went out to visit with them and the two that were having eye issues yesterday(keeping one of their eyes closed) are better this afternoon..... I have only used the Duramycin 10. I did purchase the Corid, but because the two with the eye issue seemed to have improved, I just did more of the Duramycin in the water's. Also, Penny (the Cochin) is more talkative today than yesterday. It is typical for her to be chatty, so I guess I'll stick with what I'm doing for now....As long as tomorrow they haven't gotten worse, then I'll just keep the Corid on hand? (Since it was sooo hard to find) Thanks again everyone for your time and help!

p.s. Penny is my favorite girl!
