She has a crooked beak...which I posted about earlier here...someone showed me another thread where people were showing off their not so perfect birds. Many said they trim their beaks back when they get too long. Her top is mos def too long. I was wondering if this could help her, I'm just not sure how to go about doing it. I clipped my roosters toe nails...that wasn't difficult at all. He just took a nap while I did that...I figure it's the same idea...but I dunno.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have an answer for you but I can suggest checking some books out from your public library. I've found a wealth of information there though much of it is dated.

In my search from some good chicken-raising handbooks on Amazon.com and BarnesandNobel.com I remember seeing several extensive tomes on medical care for chickens and other poulty. This might be a place to find good information if another source of information is needed.

Good luck!

I don't know how to trim a chicken's beak. But i do make sure to keep something abrasive, like a cement block, where my chickens can get to it, and they kind of groom their own beaks when they have a way to do it.

You can use a dremel tool to file off the excess beek and spurs of hens and roo.s lAlso keep some blood stop powder called styptic pencil powder hande for any bleeding. do not put the hens with any bleeding in with the others until it has stopped. It will make them go crazy. Otherwise it works greatt. Gloria Jean

Always keep the blood stop powder in your med , chest,.Gloria jean

Thanks for all the help everyone! ^_^
I'll check out the library, internet and ask the people at the three local feed stores. Try a few things and see what works best for me!
I really appreciate the help.
I've noticed that people with cross beaked birds file back the top so they can use the bottom as a sort of shovel without the top getting in the way. I would imagine she would file it if she could, but I don't think she really can. She's too young yet....I don't want to give up on her just yet.
I want to try a few more things before I make the decision to have her euthanized...
Thanks again!
