yes pen the different breeds in seperate pens, so they cannot gain access to the other pens.

Sorry, can't trust a chicken. Even mine lie to me, much as I spoil them.

To the OP, roosters aren't particular. To them, a hen is a hen, no matter her age, color, size or breed. They just love the ladies. If you don't want a rooster to breed a hen, you have to put a good barrier between them.

My main rooster is boss, if he catches a lutenent at work , he knocks the Lt. off and completes his job. THe hen was bred twice. Great for fertility I bet!!
