hi i was just wondering is there a way to let my broody hen cool offf from all the heat? also is it bad for the eggs to get to hot if it is 100 outside?
thanks!

Mist her with a spray bottle??? How about a small battery powered fan? I bet the babies hatch a couple days early if the heat continues to be so extreme. It has cooled down here since the rain yesterday.

I had been going through the same problem you have, we have just got done with record heat 10 days 100+ mostly 105-109.
I have my girl in a large rubbermaid container that I made into a nest box I drilled air vents all around top, this is all inside a very protected small run, within the larger run. She in the natural shade most of the day, then I hung up sheets to block the sun in morning and evening, I also wet the sheets so when the wind blew it would help cool air, added a fan on her.
Made sure she would get up every other day. (lift her out of box) other days I gave her some sliced chilled fruit and some bread dipped in water. (not the best diet but is what i could get her to eat.)
She is still alive and I think the some of the eggs are to, I'm not very good at candling yet, but I did briefly touch them this morning and I think I felt movement. They are to hatch in the next day or two???

So I would make sure she in the shade with a fan, try to get her to eat and mostly drink once a day.
Garages can be stuffy. I hope for the best for you.
