How do I keep the girls cool?

I don't have electricity outdoors so I spray them with a light hose (making sure that the water isn't hot). Sometimes I bring them inside and put them in the sink and pet them and then wrap them in a towel and talk to them. When it's really hot, I bring them inside in crates and put on the AC. My neighbors must think I'm nuts, but they don't care if something were to happen to my birds.
