How do I know if an egg is fertile or not

I was just wondering how do I know if an egg is fertile or not because I just bought a rooster and you know , he already doing his dirty business

Usually it takes about 2 weeks of mating for the hens eggs to be really fertile. A couple of matings will not do it. After 2 weeks, you can crack one open and look for that bulls eye in the egg. Follow the link that Percheron Chick has left for you to know what you are looking for.
