how do i know if my 5 week old chick is okay after stepped on by kids

My daughters class incubated a bunch of chicken eggs we took 2 home 1 died right away we now have 1 black and white sweetie pie who loves to run behind us and snuggle. My daughter accidentally tripped onto the chicken he or she is 5 weeks old. For 2 days it didn't walk or chirp but is eating drinking and pooping normal. Last night it began to walk and kinda run and chiirp yay. But I noticed its belly is very soft and squishy is that normal?

Noticed he has softer poop the last few hours.....

My little sister just stepped on my chick a little bit ago, it is 7wks, we isolated it and he can't walk and feel and went right to sleep. Poor thing is in shock. I am not sure about the soft poo and belly.
