How do I know if my chick dying?

Its really sad to say but Stalin or the yellow chick died this 2:10pm, I was too late. Im sorry, please forgive me. I will take this as a lesson that I should be aware of everything before I decide to take care of such a wonderful creature. I know that Hitler (the pink one) can live alone, there is a big chance that he will because he is the first one that I got and before Stalin came he is a grown up cute lil chick.

Are you sure that chick isn't dyed? Dying chicks is illegal in the US but I suspect it's pink from dyes. I don't know any parrots that have combs or pink down.
Yep, you're absolutely right. He just looks parrot-like in that pose but the comb gives it away. Thanks for bringing it to my attention and with such tact. I've never seen a dyed chicken before. Can't be good for them.

I'm sorry you have to go through this process. It's a hard lesson we have all learned one way or another. It's possible that the chick was sick when you bought it. I've gotten chicks from very reliable sources and they still ended up with pasty butt and other problems. Now that you are better prepared you'll have better success next time.
