How do i know if my thermometer is correct?

How can i be sure my thermometer is correct? I have the Janoel 12 incubator and it is set to 37.5 but my thermometer is reading 35.8c and 73 percent humidity. I am on day 20 for my chicken eggs and none of them have piped let alone been moving. I am afraid to adjust my bator.

Easy way to check accuracy of a thermometer is to use a people thermometer and take a reading. One like this is available at any drug store and not very expensive.

Your electronic thermometer, and the temperature control portion, are two separate systems within the controls. They may be off by just a few degrees. This is an Incubator, and not an expensive piece of laboratory equipment. These small varying differences are acceptable in consumer products. If you double-check the temps with an additional device, you can fine tune/adjust the settings.
Did you candle your eggs on day 8, and later???

Thank you. Yes they were all moving. I candled last night because i was getting worried. But i don’t know how to tell if they have internally piped.. these are 2 of the eggs...

There is not much that you can do, except wait for them to hatch naturally.

I had 6 hatch and 2 of them ended up dying sadly. But the other 4 are doing great.
