How do I position thermometer in forced air LG?

Hi, I have/had a still air Little Giant incumbator. I used it last month for the first time - had 9 out of 12 eggs hatch. I spent quite some time trying to figure out at what height to put the thermometer.

Today I added a pc fan. I positioned the fan right next to the control unit, so it is blowing almost straight down in the middle of the unit. Hoping the air will circulate nicely in the unit.

Obviously I don't want to put the thermometer right next to/under the fan.... and I won't put any eggs right there either..... but does it matter now that the air is being moved around, where and at what height the thermometer is?

I have a Little Giant too, it is forced air and I put a red spirit style bulb thermometer on top of the eggs under the window where I can see it without opening the incubator. I have a digital one with hygrometer also that I put in an empty space in the autoturner.
