How can you be in texas and not have seen grits? I, thank goodness, can find them here in colorado and the food here sucks. I miss the southI have never seen "grit"'s for sale here in south Texas, is there another name for them?

Awe! Now if you could just throw some fried chicken, a pot of greens, and homemade sweet potatoe pie in there I'd just die! You're the best Xerocles!!Jeepgirl. Bless yore li'll heart, Darlin. (Just to make you think you're back in the South for a minute.![]()

I'm from South Carolina. It's always fun to go out in the winter and count snowflakes. One year I actually used up all the fingers on both hands. I lived in Colorado Springs for about 18 months. My first purchase was a snow shovel. I never used it. I used the broom instead. Wake up to two feet of snow. By noon it's all gone and the streets are dry. You'll notice I'm back in South Carolina.Awe! Now if you could just throw some fried chicken, a pot of greens, and homemade sweet potatoe pie in there I'd just die! You're the best Xerocles!!![]()
This past winter here we had to dig ourselves out of the house, thank goodness I put one of the shovels in the mudroom. Over 6ft of snow in our back yard. After plowing best we could with the tractor, the banks of snow on each side of the road were about 8 to 9 ft. Stood well over the top of my jeep. They're saying it's going to be worse this year.I'm from South Carolina. It's always fun to go out in the winter and count snowflakes. One year I actually used up all the fingers on both hands.
