I am a new Chicken luver. I started out with Golden Comet Hens have 11 of them babies and then was given a Buff O Roo which is just absolutely gorgeous! and He is such a good Roo. I finally was offered some Buff Cochins for 5 dollars a piece the owner got carried away with incubating. The buff cochins are absolutely gorgeous but I have no way of telling if they are hes or shes. I have researched all day and came up with nothing could someone tell me if there is a way to tell the difference. I will post pics as soon as I get home this evening. Thank you sooo much for any help you might give me.

Here is my BO his name is Papa I just had to show him off I luv him soooo much

I am not sure exactly how old they are I was told they are around 15-18 weeks? well if they are all boys they will be big boys that die of ripe old age lol because they follow me around like puppies when they are out lol. I just hope one of them is at least a girl

I am new at this and these chickens are just so gracious when they walk and roam. I can tell on all my other babies that I got from a feed store and raised myself they are all starting to show all the signs but these two I just didnt have a clue but they were to precious to no buy at only 5 dollars a piece

I understand- I have a red cochin roo that I'm not allowed to have legally and he crows like mad now at 16 weeks, though not all that often, but he's the sweetest, nicest little thing! I'm having a hard time getting rid of him, because I want him to be loved...not dinner.

none of the 3 have crowed yet its funny I have this black rooster tiny little thing and out of all of them and minus these 3 I know I have 3 other roos he is the only one that crows its so funny too cuz he is just getting his crow and it sounds as though he has a cold lol. I just love these BC's like I do my BO they are not aggressive birds at all very calm and so love able I will just make it my mission to find them mates for life and build them all seperate pens I guess well I will give it one more week or so then start naming them lol. I hope that one is a female . One can always hope
