Solved How do I stop getting alerts I don't want?

I keep getting alerts like this: So and so uploaded an image called blank to the watched category Chicken Breeds. I don't want to get these alerts, but I can't seem to find a spot in alert preferences and such to stop from getting them.

You have some how selected to watch that category. Go back to it and unselect the watch this box.

It's probably under gallery...the chicken breed category.

I found the more options button at the bottom of your message reply center might be the one that works. I had this issue when we switched to the new format but it has since resolved on my end. And it was simply a matter of finding the correct button.

I know it can be frustrating though! Hope you get it figured out quickly!

Oh ya, I remember some people were even thinking about sending email from BYC to spam when this started and Nifty asked that we not do that but work to get it resolved correctly. Glad I hung on because I do appreciate the alerts I like to receive.

So I did what you said, and I think it worked! Thanks guys! That was really driving me crazy. I'd see I had an alert (ooh, I got a reply!) but it would turn out to be another picture of some chicken I didn't care about LOL
