How do I tell a newborn duckling's gender without sexing?

It might take a little longer than 3-4 weeks for you to tell the gender by voice. Most of the time you will be able to tell by 3-4 weeks, but if you can't don't sweat :). I did not start to hear a rasp (which means a boy) in my duckling's voice until he was six weeks old.

Usually it's 5-6wks.. well for mallard derived.. scovies aren't so share-y.

Hi, Well I am new to having ducklings and I have two mums with babies, the first lot are around 6 weeks and although I have very little knowledge, I do however believe and cant wait to know if I am correct, but one of my ducklings in the group of two is much bigger than the other and has much bigger feet and longer body, so I am guessing that one is a male and one is a female. Then I have 7 ducklings which were born almost two weeks ago, I think one could be a male, possibly two and I am only guessing due to size, which I realise isn't really that reliable, but I gather in a few more weeks I may have some more indications. I am hoping I only have one or two out of the seven and one from the other, as then I should have enough girls for guys :) as I don't want to have to give any away...I am happy to keep my lot and let them live a healthy, happy life...
